Do you recommend taking vitamin D daily, and if so for how long? Should it only to be taken in the winter or year round in the cities with changing seasons?

Research has shown that sunlight is the best source of vitamin D, but that's not always realistic or healthy (in terms of extended exposure) for many. Vitamin D is explained in the books, and can be obtained in certain foods. More is explained here:
